Christmas!

Corbin got a fourwheeler! He loves it!
RaiLynn got a new "kitty cat" in her stocking. It's really a wolf!

Kylie got a new satin blankey! Her fave!

Corbin was excited about his new truck that Michael got for him!

RaiLynn Christmas morning, ready to open her presents!

Kylie wasn't happy because we woke her up!

We had a really good Christmas this year. Lots of nice presents! Lots of Family! Lots of Food! It was really good. Christmas Eve morning we went to IHOP with Michael's mom, dad, sister and grandparents. Then that evening we spent with Michael's dad's side of the family. Christmas Day we woke up and had our family morning then Michaels parents, sister, and grandparents came over and we opened presents with them. That afternoon we went over to Michael's mom's parents house, ate and opened presents with them. Christmas night we went over to Michael's parents house, ate, played games and sang lots of songs! Sunday we went over to my parents house and spent the day there. We ate some yummy turkey, loaded mashed potatoes, corn and rice and broccoli casserole. We opened presents and just hung out. It was so nice spending time with all of our family.

Bad Day

I woke up today to go to school. Watched the weather, decided that I wasn't getting the kids out in it. So I got ready and I left. I was already frustrated because I didn't want to go because I was worrried about the roads being bad. Well they weren't as bad as I thought except for Pine. As soon as I turned on to Pine I started sliding. But I quickly regained control. Keep in mind I HATE to drive in any type of weather or even the dark. I have never driven in the ice. As I continued to drive, the other roads were sanded. So all the way to school it was fine. But the whole way to school there was "steam" coming off of the hood. I didn't know if that was normal so I called Michael and he didn't really know what I was talking about so he said yes. I turned into the school parking lot and there was no one there hardly. I tried to park and everytime I would turn to the right I would slide. Then the car started making a funny noise and the "check guages" light came on. I was on the phone with Michael and he told me just to stop where I was and turn the car off because it was over heating. So I did and I went in. Well I didn't want to try to get out of the parking lot on my own so I told Michael that he would have to come get me when it was time for me to leave. So he did. On the way home the car started smoking. Michael told me that he didn't know what I was talking about but that's what it was doing earlier. The car was over heating. So he pulled over and dealt with it. Well the whole way home it just kept causing problems. So hopefully Michael will be able to figure out what's going on with the car. This day has already been a mess for me. Anywho, I just wanted to vent a little.

*Parents*

Be careful what you say...
There are small ears standing close by listening.
Be careful what you do...
There are small minds standing close by studying.
Be careful what you see...
There are small eyes standing close by watching.
Be careful what you think...
There are small minds standing close by imagining.
Be careful where you step...
There are small feet standing close by following.
Be careful what you touch...
There are small hands standing close by feeling.
Most of all...
Be careful who you follow...
There are small children standing close by idolizing.
One thing that I have learned from a song is, as a parent, we always have some physical person there. Everywhere we go, everything we see, eat, touch, drink, watch, think, say, every single thing that we do. They are the ones that reap the consequences. It effects their minds which effects their lives. We need to teach our children to follow God. If we don't teach them to follow God, then we are teaching them to follow satan. Lets teach our children to be Followers of God! And teach them to teach others.

it's been awhile

So it's been awhile since I've posted. I have had a crazy couple of weeks. The girls did absolutely amazing in the wedding. And they looked absolutely fabulous. I bribed them with suckers too. It was great. Kylie was having a bad attitude and didn't want to walk so I pulled a huge handful of suckers from behind my back and said "Do you want a sucker?" She nodded her head and I said "Well then you better put on your happy face and walk like a big girl." She smiled, stood right up and said "Okay Mommy!" Then she did so good. So when it was time for them to sit down by me I gave them each their suckers and they each had like 6 during the whole wedding. LOL!!! I was so proud of them.

Last week was all the prepping for Thanksgiving. We had a good one. We went to Michael's parents house for the afternoon and did it with his dads side of the family, then we went to some friends that I had grown up around, Gary and Crystal. Then on Saturday we went over to my parents house and had another Thanksgiving there. So it was nice.

Corbin got sick sunday night. Had a bad cough and sounded all croupy. RaiLynn got sick this morning. She woke up at 4:30 in the morning complaining of her stomach then started throwing up at 5. She had gotten some good rest today though. She handles being sick like such a big girl!

I hope everyone has had a good couple of weeks!
